The history of how the tangram was developed is not completely clear.There are some differing stories.Nevertheless, the tangram puzzle is an interesting example of human ingenuity.
Human Ingenuity refers to creativity and innovation. (Not sure what these words mean?Look them up !). There are many tangram puzzles which are difficult to solve though basically tangrams look easy.Now, teachers use tangrams to help students learn about geometry.
Flash is also a good example of human Ingenuity.It allows non-experts to create animations that can be viewed on websites and computers generally.Flash is also interesting because the file that actually runs (the .swf file) is quite small, smaller than the file that the programmer uses (the .fla file).
So, think about tangrams and Flash. Which took more creativity to create? Which takes more creativity to use - Flash to make animations or tangrams to create really challenging puzzles?
